LinkUP – how to creatively use our armchairs and chaise longues in offices?

We invite you to watch our video about the artistic installation Séparé Ensemble by Cosima Kaye, who used our chaise longue LinkUP to create a quiet retreat from the hustle and bustle of the office in an unusual form.

LinkUP as a shell – why not?

Alina Kryczyńska, Nowy Styl Group

We are meeting Cosima Kaye, the author of an installation called in French "Séparé Ensemble” and in this installation which involved our LinkUP sofa you created very unique chillout zone. Could you tell us why you chose the form of a shell?

Cosima Kaye, author of the installation "Séparé ensemble”, artist from the Freeters group:

Well, it was not as simple as that. I started to have other ideas, so I started building a roof above the bench and then when it was finished, it suddenly came to me that it could continue down to the floor and build the whole room. So it was really prototype – a kind of doing… building by doing. Situation I didn’t know before.

Chillout zones - a must in the office?

Alina Kryczyńska, Nowy Styl Group:

Tell me, do you think that people really need in offices such chillout places?

Cosima Kaye, author of the installation "Séparé ensemble”, artist from the Freeters group:

Oh, yeah! I do think so. I mean, nowadays we have open offices so you always are with the others, and I think it is really nice if you can separate yourself and just have a calm moment. This little ‘hut’, gives your own space for a little time. And you can also take it apart, so you can take the shell off the bench and it makes this different room further where you can sit inside. So it’s not your own room anymore. So that’s why it’s called “Séparé Ensemble” – which means separated together.

How would you use LinkUP in your office?
