As part of our #SummerOffice series we are presenting colour combinations inspired by the summer aura. Lush vegetation, the scent of the forest and delicate dew on the grass. It is possible to have all these in your office to draw on their benefits all year round.
The colours that we surround ourselves with at work have a great impact on our mood. The colours of the walls, furniture and accessories may determine whether employees will feel more focused, calm or more inclined to teamwork.
In our first article in the #SummerOffice series we wrote about how colours can affect the mood of employees and the so-called “candidate experience”, and why it is a good idea to consider colours while designing an office.
Greenery is our next inspiration
The green colour, associated with nature and naturalness, symbolizing a new beginning enjoys increasing popularity also in office spaces. That is why Greenery was named the Colour of the Year 2017 by Pantone - an important inspiration for designers and architects.
The colour green is the leitmotif of our recently refreshed showroom in Munich.
Peace and harmony are the first things that come to your mind when you think of the green colour. It is possible to build this kind of mood in the office by using different shades and hues of green. Green also reduces stress. It will work well both when used as the lead colour theme for the office, preferably combined with live plants, or just for leisure areas - explains Joanna Zapała, Interior Designer at the Nowy Styl Group.
